Ontem quando eu fui colocar comida para as meninas, vi várias rainhas na caixa de forragem e assim tirei uma para fazer umas fotos.

Aí Ailton, a foto em que coloquei um pedaço de pão. Elas coletaram completamente. Na vasilha que está fazendo papel de prato tem: uma quantidade grande de Quínua Real e mais uns grãos de aveia, de gérmen de trigo, arroz flocado e de trigo. As formigas adoraram! Hoje vou dar a elas esta mistura de novo. Inclusive incluí nesta mistura de grãos: linhaça.

Princesas - Princess

Como vocês podem ver abaixo está impossível fazer fotos bacanas das princesas, por causa da quantidade de umidade dentro do frasco da colônia. Há muita água condensada na parede do frasco, deixando as fotos embassadas. Mas de qualquer jeito vou postar algumas aqui, pra vocês irem acompanhando os eventos. O bacana desta foto abaixo, além de vocês verem a umidade, dá pra ver também a camada de fungo novo se desenvolvendo no topo, ainda com folhas a serem assimiladas, e a parte de baixo com fungo antigo, muito saudável.

Na foto abaixo "vemos" algumas operárias cuidando da larva de uma princesa. A larva é muito maior que a operária que a está segurando. Uma pena que a foto esteja bizarra.

Ontem quando fui mexer na caixa de forragem, para verificar o quanto as formigas já tinham coletado, surpreendi uma princesa andando sobre a cultura de fungo. Não deu tempo pegar a máquina pra fazer a foto, pois ela imediatamente entrou num dos buracos que dão acesso ao interior da estrutura feita de fungo. Uhuuuuuuu! Já tenho princesas... mas não dá pra saber quantas ainda! Espero poder registrá-las em foto logo.

Adubando - Composting

Esta foto tem umas duas semanas. As formigas coletaram bastante do botão de rosa vermelho. E muito das folhas que coloquei na caixa.
