Nova Rainha - New Queen

Finalmente uma rainha começou a cultivar o fungo e tem operárias em desenvolvimento, assim pude voltar ao prazer de ter uma colônia de acromyrmex.

Finally a queen began to cultivate the fungus and has workers in development, so I could return to the pleasure of having a colony of Acromyrmex.

Esqueci o frasco aberto e a rainha ao invés de fugir... Jogou o lixo fora! ;)

Decadência - Decay

A colônia que melhor estava se desenvolvendo está resumida a isto que vocês vêem nas fotos. Resolvi que para tentar salvá-la eu teria que mudar para um pote pequeno. Coloquei, temporariamente, num pote de exames clínicos. Mas vou colocá-las num pote pequeno transparente.

The colony that was developing the best is reduced to that you see in the photos. I decided to try to save it I would have to move to a small pot. I placed it temporarily in a potof  clinical examinations. But I'll put them in a small  transparent pot.

Hoje pela manhã coloquei 2 operárias da colônia que está se desenvolvendo lentamente, na colônia onde a rainha está cultivando bem o fungo, mas não colocou ovo algum. Mas veja o que a rainha fez com uma das operárias.

This morning I'd put 2 workers of the colony that is developing slowly in the colony where the queen is cultivating the fungus as well, but did not put any egg. But look what the queen made for ​​one of the workers:

Na foto abaixo vemos a operária sobrevivente. A rainha não a matou, mas também não a aceitou!

A colônia no jardim - The colony in the garden

Desde que eu permiti que a minha primeira colônia mudasse dos potes para o jardim, eu tenho alimentado as formigas colocando perto da entrada do formigueiro: casca de frutas e pétalas de flores. Com isso tem aparecido diversas entradas para mesma colônia no jardim. Apesar de ter crescido muito, elas não atacam as minhas plantas. Saem para coletar fora do meu jardim. ;)  Para isso elas cortaram a grama criando uma trilha até o muro, passam por cima dele e descem do lado de fora, passam por 5 jardins, de 5 outras casas, ignorando totalmente estes jardins, pra entrarem no meu quintal na parte do fundo de minha casa, e lá coletam seu alimento. Estamos vivendo um acordo: elas me fornecem rainhas e eu as alimento. ;)

Since I allowed my first colony to move from the pots for the garden, I have fed the colony laying near the entrance of the anthill: fruits peel  and flower petals. So it has appeared several entries for the same colony in the garden. Despite having grown much, they do not attack my plants. Ants go out to collect outside my garden. ;) For to do this they cut the grass creating a trail to the wall, go over it and down outside, pass through 5 gardens, 5 other houses, totally ignoring those gardens to enter in my backyard, in the back part of my house and collect your food there. We are living a compromise: they provide me queens and I feed them. ;)

Finalmente - Finally

Finalmente o cultivo do fungo está estável, e o desenvolvimento do cultivo está muito bonito em ambas as colônias.
