One week after collection thefungus production is in full development in most queens. See the cultivation filled with bits of little red rose petal.
Rainha grandinha - Big queen
This queen is relatively bigger than other acromyrmex, but not as big as that one I called giant in a previous post. Although it is without wings this queen dind't start, as well as others, its cultivation of the fungus. So I took a piece of the fungus of several queens, joined a small amount and put to her. In the photo it's arranging the pieces on the rose petal.

O fungo - The fungus
The queens are already developing her fungus. I hope I have not the same problems caused by harmful fungus that killed the last queens.

She kept the wings and not began cultivating the fungus. Everything indicates that it can not be fertilized, which is a shame!

Novas acros - New acromyrmex
After the acromyrmex from the previous photos have been exterminated by a violent fungus, I collected these today. Realize that the queen from bellow is much larger than the one above, this one has the normal size of a queen acro.
